Glasses Malone Readies Cash Money/Hoo Bangin' Debut Album "Beach Cruiser"
California rap sensation Glasses Malone (aka G.Malone) has taken the industry by storm since his emergence as one of the new faces of super label Cash Money/Hoo Bangin’ Records. In preparation for the release of his upcoming album, the Watts star has compiled several of his music videos and mixtapes free for his fans.
Well-known and respected on the West Coast as an authentic representative of their storied culture, Glasses has enjoyed a rapid ascent into the upper echelon of Hip-Hop’s most talented new faces through his gritty street poetics and signature style.
Fresh of the success of his two smash hits with superstars Akon (“Certified”) and Lil Wayne & Birdman (“Haterz”), Glasses is back on the radio and television airwaves with his latest hit “Sun Come Up” featuring Rick Ross, T-Pain and Birdman. The song was premiered on BET’s popular 106 & Park video countdown show and is the latest single from his forthcoming album, slated for a November 2009 release.
Embracing his newfound stardom and the spotlight, Glasses accepted his role as a leader of the new school and got to work on his debut album “Beach Cruiser” by gathering star-studded features and crafting a unique theme that personified one of the most classic symbols of Cali lifestyle – the beach cruiser bicycle.
Paying homage to the days when rap was crafted around storytelling and albums were like audio movies, Glasses put together a project that tells the musical tale of a young Watts rapper’s life. From the ups and downs of living in poverty, to gangbanging, politics and much more, “Beach Cruiser” is set to cement Glasses’ position as one of rap’s next big things.
Glasses Malone – “Beach Cruiser: The Story” is slated for a November 23, 2009 release on Hoo Bangin’/Cash Money/Universal Motown Records.

With the backing of a west coast legend like Mack 10 in addition to the co-sign from today’s most popular rapper in Lil Wayne, Glasses has already seen his music and videos be featured on major radio and television outlets like Power 106, BET, MTV and many more.
